I originally shared this on LinkedIn, but it belongs here too. It’s the heartbeat behind the work I do with founders and small teams who build with purpose.
Where Are the Anthems?
This is what an anthem looks like.
A song performed by Arkansas’s own Justin Moore—
a Memorial Day nod to those who didn’t make it back home.
It builds. It drives.
The kind of song that cascades all the way to the end.
We need more of that.
More anthems.
It might feel out of place in the business world.
But not for scrappy brands.
Not for those building with heart, driven by purpose.
Not for those who care about more than KPIs and ROI.
Because here’s the truth:
When the days are hard—really hard—
that purpose, that anthem,
it’s what keeps you standing.
Keeps you from quitting.
Helps you stay obsessed with the outcome
even when everything else says stop.
Without it?
It’s just another task left unchecked.
Another dream left behind in the quiet of the night.
So tell me:
What’s your purpose?
What’s your anthem?
What’s the story that keeps you going
when there’s nothing else to hold onto?
Where are the anthems?
Don’t just build a business. Build one that means something. Start by finding your anthem.
